VLM ClimaCORR Chambers

With ClimaCORR® (CC) technology, VLM has become the undisputed technology leader in its industry segment. The essence of the ClimaCORR® approach is the convergence of climatic test chambers on the one hand and corrosion test chambers on the other. As a result, the “CC” product range features an extended temperature range, extremely fast and precise temperature and humidity control, and an unprecedented temperature and humidity control range:

  • Wide operating temperature range from ambient to +80 °C
  • Controlled humidity from ambient to 98% RH
  • Patented controlled water condensation system (CVC)
  • Patent pending for fast and accurate humidity control
  • Temperature control accuracy up to ±0.5 °C
  • Relative humidity control accuracy up to ±1%
  • Fast heat exchange thanks to flat Micanite heaters and the steel construction of the test chamber
  • Modular design and user-friendly control interface

Optional: fully automatic gas dosing (Kesternich test).

  • Up to +80 °C
  • Up to 98% RH
  • ±0.5 °C / ±1% RH

Angelantoni Test Chambers

A climatic chamber allows two variables to be tested: temperature and humidity, within the limits specified by the manufacturer:

  • Temperature can typically vary between a maximum of -70 °C and +180 °C.
  • Relative humidity can vary in the range of 10% to 98%.

Broadly speaking, there are two main families of tests: thermostatic tests, where the only controlled parameter is temperature, and climatic tests, which require temperature and humidity to be controlled at the same time. Climatic or thermostatic tests are used to examine how a product behaves in its normal context of use and how it responds to climatic changes (what happens to electronic components if they are inadvertently stored in a warehouse with high humidity? Or which materials would be best suited for objects exposed to low temperatures?). If only thermostatic tests are needed, a thermostatic chamber (without humidity control) is sufficient; otherwise, to control variations in both temperature and humidity, a climatic chamber should be chosen.

There are various models of climatic and thermostatic chambers, selected during configuration according to specific test requirements. Among the most important parameters for choosing a climatic chamber are the temperature range, the rate of temperature change, the dimensions and other parameters.

  • -70 to +180 °C
  • 10–98% RH
  • Climatic and thermostatic
